About the film
Once a year in a village in south east Mexico, a festival occurs where men transform into women. They are known as The Chuntá. The documentary depicts two rival dance groups fighting the clock in their preparations and finding themselves in the middle of a fierce debate about tradition and who gets to be a part of it.
