About the film
On December 31, 1999, the United States officially returned control of the Canal to Panama, fulfilling the Torrijos-Carter Treaties. Behind the historic signing of the Treaties was a complex game of international diplomacy and intrigue, led by General Omar Torrijos. This is the story of those negotiations, which restored Panama’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
