About the film
1984. Estela is going through a troubled adolescence. Sex, love and friendship all seem dreadfully complicated. Estela’s uncle Carlos is her hero and visiting him in California is her biggest dream. But everything falls apart when he unexpectedly returns to Brazil: thin, feeble and ill. Amid crises and self-discoveries, Estela will have to face a new reality, which will unquestionably change the way she sees the world.
