About the film
The director Marcia Tambutti Allende wishes to change the family tradition of not talking about their tragic past. 35 years have gone by since the Chilean coup that overthrew her grandfather, Salvador Allende and she thinks that it is time to retrieve the images of everyday life, losses that the coup caused and discover the intimate past that has been submerged under the political significance of Allende, his exile and the pain of his family. With a warm and sharp eyes, the director draws a family portrait that addresses the complexities of irreparable losses and the role of memory in three generations of an iconic family.
