About the film
Tamayo knows that he does not want to be what he was before, or what he would be doomed to be according to the filial precepts. To find another way costs a lot of work, and perhaps to give a first step it is necessary to put the feeling into words. The Apostate is an existential comedy about a man trying to escape the Catholic Church.
