About the film
Itacoatiaras is a documentary about the connection between two distant locations, but united by their name and by their indigenous Brazilian ancestry in the states of Amazonas and Rio de Janeiro. The film rescues forgotten stories, exploring memories and identities that intersect in the midst of destructive climatic events, revealing the invisible ties that bind past and present.
