We are pleased to announce the presence of actress <strong>Martina Passeggi<\/strong>, the protagonist of the opening feature film <a href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/en\/evenemang\/a-bright-future\/\"><em data-start=\"625\" data-end=\"646\">A Bright Future<\/em><\/a>, directed by <strong>Luc\u00eda Garibaldi<\/strong> and awarded at the 2025 Tribeca Festival. Martina will share her reflections on Uruguayan cinema in conversation with director <strong>Pablo Mart\u00ednez Pessi<\/strong>, who joins us once again to present his new documentary <a href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/en\/evenemang\/rio-adentro\/\"><em data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"893\">Into the River<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"1092\">We are also honored to welcome Colombian biologist and activist <strong>Brigitte Baptiste<\/strong>, protagonist of the documentary <a href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/es\/evenemang\/brigittes-planet-b\"><em data-start=\"1012\" data-end=\"1032\">Brigitte Planeta B<\/em><\/a>, renowned for her work on queer ecology and biodiversity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1640\">In addition, we will be joined by Panamanian director Annie Canavaggio, who will present her documentary <a href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/en\/evenemang\/hijo-de-tigre-y-mula\/\"><em data-start=\"1199\" data-end=\"1221\">Hijo de tigre y mula<\/em><\/a>, a profound exploration of the traces of colonialism in Panamanian history. Her work resonates with the thematic focus of this edition:\u00a0<em>Colonialist Occupations<\/em>. The choice of this theme is an invitation to explore the many ways in which occupation \u2013 territorial, symbolic, political, or economic \u2013 has shaped and continues to affect our societies, our memories, and our understanding of our region and the world.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1642\" data-end=\"1928\">From intimate stories to social portraits, this year Panor\u00e1mica offers a program that hopes to inspire us to imagine other possible futures.
