The films invite audiences to explore unexpected questions and engage with stories that fall outside established narratives.<\/p>\n<p>In this edition, the festival turns its gaze towards childhood as a space of imagination, freedom and hope; a place from which we can observe the present and imagine other possible futures. Through stories told from the perspectives of children and young people, the programme explores how new generations relate to the world, their communities and their territories.<\/p>\n<p>Films such as <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/en\/evenemang\/the-condor-daughter\/\"><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">The Condor Daughter<\/span><\/em><\/a><\/span> (Bolivia), <em><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/en\/evenemang\/the-mysterious-gaze-of-the-flamingo\/\">The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/em>(Chile) and <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/en\/evenemang\/the-devil-smokes\/\"><em><span style=\"color: #339966;\">The Devil Smokes<\/span><\/em><\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Mexico) offer stories about growing up, belonging and love, but also about the search for one\u2019s own place in contexts shaped by inequality, social change and the tensions of our time. Meanwhile, <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/en\/evenemang\/mailin\/\"><em><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Mailin<\/span><\/em><\/a><\/span> (Argentina) and <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/en\/evenemang\/hiedra\/\"><em><span style=\"color: #339966;\">The Ivy<\/span><\/em><\/a><\/span> (Ecuador) tell stories of a lost childhood and the struggle to reclaim the most personal territory of all: one\u2019s own life.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Mexico is the festival\u2019s country in focus\u2014one of the region\u2019s strongest and most multifaceted filmmaking nations. With five Mexican feature films in the programme, as well as the presence of producer Daniela Contreras and director Nicolas D\u00e9foss\u00e9 (<a href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/en\/evenemang\/a-bigger-place\/\"><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><em><span style=\"color: #339966;\">A Bigger Place<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>), we have the opportunity to explore different realities within the country and discover more of contemporary Mexican cinema.<\/p>\n<p>We are also honoured to welcome Uruguayan director Gerardo Minutti, who will take part in a conversation about humour and social criticism in his feature film <a href=\"https:\/\/panoramica.se\/en\/evenemang\/dogs\/\"><em><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Dogs<\/span><\/em><\/a>.
