Zita Folkets Bio is the oldest autonomous cinema in Stockholm. The cinema’s task is to show quality films for both adults and children that do not usually appear on the bigger cinemas.
About the film
Alanis is a sex worker. Together with her one-year-old son, she shares with her friend Gisela a so-called “private apartment” in downtown Buenos Aires, where she lives and works. When two municipal inspectors, posing as clients, enter the apartment, and close down the place and charge her room mate with human trafficking, Alanis will try to recover her dignity, help her friend and take care of her son. She will have to fight to make room for herself.
